In the last ten years, levels of radio frequency radiation worldwide have increased exponentially.

Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) emitted from mobile phone towers, mobile phones, Wi-Fi and electromagnetic fields from power lines and electricity sub-stations are at the centre of safety concerns globally as studies find increasing evidence of a link with brain cancer and other illnesses.

Users who talk for over an hour a day on a mobile phone or use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for more than two and a half hours a day are about a third more at risk of developing brain tumours, according to recent studies in Germany, Norway, Sweden, UK and the USA. Sweden lists Electro Magnetic Fields (EMF) as a Class 2 carcinogen, right along with tobacco.

Cancers are also most commonly found on the side of the head that phones are held to most frequently. A cancer link has also been found with digital mobiles, old analogue mobiles and digitally enhanced (DECT) cordless phones. Other studies illustrate the potential health risks of living and working near mobile phone towers with additional studies demonstrating that `soft tissue` surrounding the nerves is at risk from all Wi-Fi radio bands.
